"There is a lot of pressure to organise the perfect hen weekend and when I was asked to take on that role for my soon-to-be sister-in-law and very good friend I was both excited and nervous about the responsibility. The objective was to make sure 13 people all had a good time and felt comfortable - whilst ensuring the Hen felt special - and this was a task I didn't take lightly. Choosing the right accomodation is the most important of all decisions for a hen weekend and our stay at the cottage was the best decision I made. From the idyllic and beautiful scenery to the clean bedrooms and more than accommodating communal living areas made for the perfect stay. The character of the cottage was a welcome change to the sterile places in London and we all immediately felt at home. Our privately-owned properties are all within 5 minutes of each other and offer the perfect venues for your hen, birthday or celebration weekend. They never fail to delight. In the countryside south west of Bath, our location is easy to get to, rural and characterful, yet in easy reach of Bath & Bristol. You can just rent a cottage for a weekend or longer, or build your own special weekend from a list of activities and suppliers we have carefully selected for you. Either way, you'll get the best value for money possible by renting from the owners. The cottages have lovely outside spaces - from large patios with garden furniture, to an orchard. Pretty linen & fluffy towels are included. Below are a few ideas for your stay, but whatever you want we'll help open the door to your perfect weekend.

Go Wild!

If you want something completely different, try an activity with our very own bush man, Adrian Boots, or one of his team of 'wild men!' Adventurous, outdoor and 'foodie' hens (like Sarah's group, pictured left) will love a wild food foray, camp-fire cook-up or a bushcraft mini-expedition! Learn to make fire, use a knife safely and cook your foraged finds in the woods over a camp fire. The activities are suitable for all levels of experience, and make a great fun, foodie day out with a real difference.

	Pamper & Spa Probably the best facial in the West Country. Our fabulous visiting beauticians are real professionals. You can spend an afternoon enjoying the ambience of the cottage, being pampered with a mini-treatment (facial, manicure, pedicure or indian head massage). Alternatively take a trip to Thermae Bath Spa for a 2 hour (or more) session including use of the Open-air rooftop pool, Aroma steam rooms and waterfall shower, and Minerva Bath. We also have exclusive deals at a luxury local spa, where you can have a 3 hour spa session, a delicious lunch, and finish off with some luxury outlet shopping!
	Shopping Can a girl have too many handbags? Or shoes? That would be No... and No! Visit the Mulberry shop for the most upmarket outlet shopping in the West Country. Also nearby Clarks Village has all the famous outlets from Monsoon to Benetton to Coast to good old M&S. Or you could try visiting the heritage City of Bath or the fantastic new Cabot Circus shopping centre in Bristol. For something more quirky, try Britain's smallest City, Wells, with its wonderful Cathedral, cafe culture, shops & Saturday morning open air market. Transfers in a minibus big enough to bring all that shopping back to the cottage!

From pony-trekking to quad-biking, 4x4 off-road driving, wild food or wildlife, rock-climbing, caving, abseiling, hiking, clay pigeon shooting and much, much more - welcome to our playground - The Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is plenty of action right here on the doorstep. If you fancy something a bit more sober, you could try dry slope skiing, golf, or a visit to the races at Bath. Virtually every extreme sport and activity is available close by.
