The
Perfect Weekend

|
Arrive at
your cottage on Friday evening, have a glass of wine or bubbly
and canapes or a hot supper delivered by our caterer, chill out
as everyone arrives and catch up on all the gossip.
On Saturday,
Go Wild for the day - enjoy a fascinating and fun wild food foray
and woodland camp cook-up with one of our very own team of 'wild
men'! After a leisurely walk on the Mendips, collecting and tasting
wild food as you go, you will set up camp and learn how to make
fire, cook wild foods over an open fire you make yourself, and
maybe do a bit of whittling as well! Suitable for everyone, this
is something really different and great fun.
A relaxed
walk back to the cottage for about 4pm gives plenty of time to
shower and get changed, and fit in a glass of bubbly on the patio,
before getting ready for a night out in Bath. Perhaps you will
visit the theatre or have dinner at one of Bath's fantastic restaurants
- such as Jamie's Italian. One of our favourite Saturday night
treats is a visit to Komedia, Bath's coolest comedy club, with
a supper from the River Cottage Canteen. Yum. Afterwards visit
the Ice Bar for something completely different...
If your group
wants a slightly quieter evening out we'd recommend the quirky
City of Wells, where the movie 'Hot Fuzz' was filmed - our favourite
is the Piano Cafe with great value food, music and a bar.
Have a leisurely
breakfast on Sunday before leaving, and perhaps stop for lunch
at a local country pub on the way home. Alternatively, make time
to visit our nearby luxury local spa, where you can enjoy a 3
hour spa session with lunch, then pop in to the Mulberry outlet
shop on the way home...

Pamper
& Spa

|
Enjoy the
ambience of the cottage, whilst being pampered with a mini-treatment
(facial, manicure, pedicure, back massage or indian head massage).
Take a trip
to Thermae Bath Spa and use the Open-air rooftop pool,
Aroma steam rooms, waterfall shower, and Minerva Bath. For a really
special experience, our groups can use an exclusive nearby private
hotel spa followed by a heavenly lunch.

Go
Wild

|
Adventurous
hens will
love a bushcraft expedition, wild food foray or mountain biking
with our very own team of 'wild men' Adrian (Ady) Boots, Sean
(Silver Fox) Mulhall, and Dave (Wavy) Parke. Learn to make fire,
survive in the woods, and much more. Great fun, very popular and
unique to our cottages. All groups
booking one day of 'Go Wild' activity get a discount off their
cottage rental.

Shopping

|
Can
a girl have too many handbags? Or shoes? Our cottages are all
near the Mulberry outlet shop for the most upmarket outlet shopping
in the West Country. Also Clarks Village has all the famous outlets
from Monsoon to Benetton to Coast to good old M&S.
Bath has great
shopping, or you could try the fantastic new Cabot Circus shopping
centre in Bristol.
For something
more quirky, try Britain's smallest City, Wells, with its wonderful
Cathedral, cafe culture, shops & Saturday morning open air
market. Transfers in a minibus big enough to bring all that shopping
back to the cottage!
